Zachery replaces for guard duty. Tarl Raven Helm teleports teleport without error to position 40 miles down river of Bane Hultren. The ploy is to wait for wandering encounters along the ice-road and hope to trap a dragon. Morning is crisp and cold, and the river moves slow and silent beneath a massive sheet of ice that occasionally footholds to the riverbank, rising up over each bank and up to 10 yards inland. A noke and cranky of ice foothold and river –edge cold ponds. Raven and Tarl with furs of warmth, Helm with amulet of frost resistance. Zachery casts two stoneskins SS9 Tarl SS8 Helm from the ships, Raven will cast one on Raven SS10 and Damien SS9.

– poisonous spirit dwarf hibernating in a log. The log rattle as the wood rose rolls in his winter nap.
6 Giant cyclopskin moving up the riverbank toward the fort – to meet the giant army.
Raven declares chain lightning from the hallucinary terrained hideout at the cyclopskin. Kills 3, injues 3 then Helm flamestrikes the two of the remaining. Finally a magic missle kills the last as he tries to flee into the woods. 1000 copper fused into the bodies.

Damien in bird form perches to see the small nightshade emerge from the log 15 rounds after the battle, to inspect the commotion outside his winter slumbering hole.
He pokes the bodies, then begins looting finding 1000 copper, and finally cleaving body parts for food supply, stored in the snow among poison roots. Raven casts tongues on the returning Damien in raven form. Damien returns to perch and speak with the wood rose creature.
Raven appears to lecture repromand and inform. Raven then appears to correct and greet. Offers two potions to leave the Burneal for the Vesve, one for every season that he stays.
