Summoning of the Earth Elementals:
10,000 gp payment in high quality gems for information on the surrounds of the stump.
Promise of more payment given good information. Paraswarn summons Braalrockmon, greater elemental earth lord HD21. He is given six elementals to accomplish his task.
The Mudship is at this point buried in the mud bed of the river at its deepest and central point some 25 miles from the Glacier heart and stump core. Given the Mudship can create its own central gravity, Paraswarn instructs Yugrim to burrow and rotate the ship downward into a pocket of earth, effectively upside down. He begins his greater summoning, with each of the lesser summoners calling those “of Braalrockmon’s earth.”
A dimmed lightglobe provides enough light for the summoning in the ceiling of earth. Each caster sits in a circle on the deck, with an arc overlapping Paraswarns banded circle. Paraswarn reeks of brimstone, and mutters aloud. Ten minutes into the enchantment, an earthen face presses thru the stone ceiling above, shaping to humanoid like features. Two large gems alit with a firely glow stare towards the summoning circle. A grumbling voice and face to match give an aire of awe and surprise. A single word is spoken, “Uzrivoy”.
Paraswarn proposes payment for services rendered. The greater elemental tries twice to address the Talisman wearer Yugrim, first his name, then his god. Paraswarn grabs the bag of gems and throws them ‘up’ to the face. It opens a mouthlike cavern that gobbles the spilling contents. Six elemental forms arise which the gems of payment as various eyes, though not always just two. Braalrockmon grumbles, “with these eyes they will see.” He continues, “the earth is cold here.”
How many times have you seen this ship?
5 times in the last millennia, then forever, then never again.
Did you know the previous owner?
T’zolo the MudWitch of the Kaia Jezulein.
Have you been in contact with Pyyat the Mud Sorcerer of the Kaia Jezulein?
He wears the talisman of the Ungulisar. He does not summon in my name.
He might now.
Can you guide us to the base of the stump?
It will cost many gems and the Coven of the Spider will know.
