Round 3
Mammoths begin charge on Blindhelm, luckily avoid natural 20 with last stoneskin, now 0. Cyclopskin misses. Damien throws 4sider to backside of mammoth-9hpt. Frost giant hits for 14hpt. Raven casts burning hands - 23hpt to frost giant and giant troll #1.Hill giant closes to attack, misses. Blindhelm strikes mammoth -12hpt. Hit by mammoth for 8hpt. Damien sounds a telepathic alert in latter half of round- DRAGONS - GET OUT. Three white dragons with ogre magi mounts land, 2 to Raven-Damien, 1 to Blindhelm. Surprising group, prepare to breath following round.
Round 4
Initiative rolled, (10 to 6) party losses. Breaths and cones go off, Raven reduce to 4hpt, Damien immune. Blindhelm reduced to 64hpt. Raven-Damien uses teleport w/o error scroll - last one used, escape to submerged Mudship. Blindhelm uses Cage-rod to escape to maelstrom demi-plane. Breaths also hit trolls and mammoth with desired effect.
Day 124 continued...
Blindhelm retreats to the blue and white marble pantheon on the maelstrom demi-plane. Spends two hours waiting, casting minimal cure light wound spells, then cage-rods back to battlefield. The site is abandoned, bodies looted, so Blindhelm makes his way to the submerged Mudship to meet Raven and company. Blindhelm makes a lizard transformation before swimming to the boat.
Raven, once back to the Mudship, goes immediately to rest for later spell recuperation.
Raven rememorizes spells, with 3; 5th teleport change. Raven and Blindhelm teleports to Diescroth to begin Blindhelm's training to 6th level priest. Zenar takes on the task of training. Raven contacts Zachery and Bellam to prepare for another northern expedition. Raven and Zachery begin scroll writings - 6th level beating heart spells and 1 charm monster 4th for Raven (6+1+6+1+6+1+4=25) all ink consumed in attempts, one failure(beating heart), three succeed at 11th level ability. Zachery attempts 2 stoneskin 4th, 2 slow 3rd, 2 haste 3rd spells (4+1+4+1+3+1+3+1+3+1+3 = 25) all are successful at 10th level. Ink remaining 1 stoneskin, 6 charm monster, 1 slow, 1 haste, 5 fly, 5 fireball, 3 contingency, 2 control weather, 1 deathfog.

Ardon prepares a ceremony for the remove curse - eye regeneration of Blindhelm. Ardon takes the book of infinite spells to the cathedral of Istus, to trade writing of restoration for a regeneration spell. Three copies are made before the page turns, 3rd level Maximillan's Stony Grasp p.26 TM. Two are kept for the writing, Ardon returns with 1 restoration 7th and 1 regeneration 7th scroll in the name of Istus. Ardon also delivers the helm of Icar to Orion the dwarven blacksmith on the Isle of Bergerac. Requests modifications for sight - a visor in helmet. Orion accepts the commission. Helm altered 27 days later, Day 151.
Bellam travels to Hippotiere's Three Horned Bazaar to have two shields and an alchemy jug identified. Also secures 8 vials of the most lethal poison for the adventure north. Total bill: 12,750 GP - 6500gpv in 13 electrum bars, 6000gpv in 10 platinum bars, 250gpv, 31,161 cp with tip- Standard identifying 250 gp each, poison 1500 for each vial. First Southern Patrol
Day 124Out of a potential seven wandering patrols, an ogre based patrol along the southern perimeter is targeted for attack. Yurgrim remains on Mudship, Patch follows the party. Strength spells (2) used for Raven, 18:00 acquired. Raven lends Blindhelm his gauntlets of ogre power 18:00. Airwalk spells are in memory for potential combat, dust readied for encounter. Two cyclopskin ride the mammoths as mounts in the patrol center line, one behind the other. A frost giant trots on either side of the line, forming the right front and left rear flank. The worgs run ahead in a semi-circular front, with the giant trolls at their heels.

Raven declares cloudkill spell, 5th level - fewer than 4HD+1 dead, 4HD+1 allowed save at -4. 5 worgs and 5 ogres in the area of effect. All 5 worgs dead, saves for ogres, all 5 fail. Blindhelm moves in for killing strike against frost giant #2. Attacking as a 3rd level priest, THACO 20. Successful hit with ray of enfeeblement ability- save with 14, counter with successful save to poison. Damage with sword, 22hpt + 25 contact poison = 47hpt damage.
Round 7
Raven declares haste. Patrol in a whirlwind of confusion. Most of the patrol moves in random directions away from the cloudkill. Blindhelm attracts the 2 giant trolls to aid frost giant #2. Blow strikes, poison finishes off with a save of 1. All counter attacks miss. Raven sends the charmed frost giant #1 against the cyclopskin-mammoth combination- successful hit.
Round 8
Raven heads for hill giant, 3 attacks -4 poison, death in failed saving throw. First blow poisons hill giant, second poisons cyclopskin. Third attack following worg - damage 14hpt. Blindhelm engages giant trolls without poison, one hit 21hpt. Blindhelm struck, down to 7 stoneskin. Charmed giant attacking cyclopskin - 2 attacks kills. Mammoth attacks charmed giant- 29 hpt damage. Last worg moves to Raven. 2 ogres and worg engage charmed giant - 2 attacks total.

Day 38-40Teleportation, several reduce spells and a teleport back bring the gorristro body, intact because of its greater tanar'ri status, back to Yigu'ha Sv'uess. Raven provides the body, hard currency for 2 potions of deftness (dex 18), 4 oils of allspice II - bonuses to saves vs. spells, 3 potions super-heroism, and red paint pigments of blackmoor -fighter hd to those smeared up. Also purchases his usual order, 8 applications of dust of disappearance, and 5 vials of poison.
The sage Zenotabis is contracted to further research the Mud Sorcerers' chronicles, linking any rumors or evidence of a fabled second tomb within the vast Cold Marshes. After meetings with these two fellow members of the Order of the Eclipse, Lord Blackbird arranges a trade in the Scriptorium for spell inks and spell book inscribing. Inks for three writing of each spell are commissioned. Entering the Order's library for research, three spells (deathfog 6th, control weather 6th, and contingency 6th) are available to the inner circle, the Thirtysix Invisibles of the Order of the Eclipse. Raven, being one, is granted access to the inner library for spell research - maximum 6th level clearance without and elder petition. In return, Raven trades two scrolls: Protection vs. Earth, Protection vs. werewolves, and a potion of yellow dragon breath (dragons only). Hard currency and electrum bars are given for the ink, with a sage's wage and percentage of spoils promised to Zenotabis.
Day 41-80Control weather, deathfog and contingency are researched. After a day per level a piece, a successful chance to know was made for each. Another day per level per spell of transcribing to the safety of his spellbook is also successful. Rest required between each spell. Some small side effects from researching a spell a level higher require some unexpected days of rest, and bits of delusional paranoia. While research went on, the inks for scrolling are completed by the Scriptorium.

Day 83Lord Blackbird, Yurgrim and Blindhelm begin the voyage. We estimated thirty hexes of travel to the edge of the Burneal Forest along the Fler River. The first leg of the journey is getting the Mudship from the swamp to the Velverdyva River, a 70 miles crossing. Following trickingly streambeds, the Urivoy traverses the land-river in a 14 hr span - for now, four out the five crew members, Raven, Blindhelm, Yurgrim, Patch(and
Damien), take the helm in shifts.
Day 84
As a point of non-detection and limiting random encounters, once to the river, all travel was decided to be underwater. Raven withdraws from helm duty to begin writing spells in the lower hold. Mudship heads up river to Lake Quag.
Day 87-1228 days to traverse 360 miles to the mouth of lake Quag against the current, averaging 5 mph underwater, 72 hours of movement required - 14 hrs a day = 70 miles modified for going against the current. Day 91: 12th day of underwater travel, now along western bank near the Mounds of Dawn, proceeding to cross to the mouth of the Fler River. Day 94 at river, 15th of voyage. 23rd of voyage, Day 102, upstream Fler River at the base of the Burneal Forest entrance. Day 104, 25th of voyage, pause inside forest to complete scroll writing. While Raven continues to toil, exploration and scouting of the fortress begins; Blindhelm by water, Damien by air, Patch by land. Yurgrim remains to captain the Urivoy. Raven completes scrolls on 43rd day of voyage, Day 122.
